Completing my Diploma of Counselling at AIPC and pursuing a career in counselling is best decision of my life. The course is incredibly well supported through their web portal and forum, but also email and direct phone calls for queries.The content of the course is incredibly well done and backed with wealth of resource material, industry insights and peer reviewed knowledge. There is an abundance of great information you will want to refer back to as your career develops and takes shape.The thing I struggled with the most - the 'In-person' practicals, turned out to be one of the best parts of the entire experience, and I really recommend students to attend these weekend sessions when they can. Meeting the other students was invaluable and it was great to hear their stories and experiences through introductions and group conversations. There are such incredible people, from hugely diverse backgrounds, educations and from all age groups, engaged in this course and it was greatly inspiring.Last but not least, the Western Australian chapter is staffed by the most supportive and insightful people. The practical work is led by extremely competent and engaging counsellors and to learn from them was the greatest head-start of all.I saw my first client a week after completing the course, and in 28 working years of my life, that day was the by far, the absolute best.
