Really disappointed in majority of my limited experience as an online student. It's been issue after issue at Billy blue / Torrens and you are paying a premium for recycled content that some teachers aren't even familiar with.Dealing with student services (while the staff are lovely) is like pulling teeth. Every-time I have sent a PDF for an application they can't open it, they respond to a different email than the one I use to send applications. You don't have any access to your teachers and most of them do not even provide an email address let alone a phone number, they ask you to use myclass messages but good luck having them respond before you have to remind them in a live class.Getting a refund on courses due to Covid added additional levels of stress after not being able to participate in a $2,500 course. This process also took months.Every other student I have spoken with has had the same disappointing experience. The School is happy to spend big on marketing to get you in but once you are in sucked in you have made a $24k mistake and the hoops you have to jump through are crazy to get out again.Nothing is logical, nothing is new, I have had one outstanding lecturer out of 5/6 and mostly mediocre, the course content compared to other schools (for interior design) is disappointing and generic.I'm looking forward to finally cutting ties with Torrens Uni and never looking back. Looking forward to finishing my diploma with Sydney Design School and graduating with useable skills. Also worth noting how disorganised the whole online learning system is. You enrol in a course months ahead of the start date (normal & fine) but don't find out the time let alone day the class will be held until Monday of week one. When most students are working full or part time plus are parents I am still yet to comprehend the blatant disregard for our time, surely the teaching staff aren't finding out their schedules 9am Monday morning week one? This goes on to the point that there is often no communication until day one either, no intro email or this is how you can prepare just welcome to week one you are already behind in your studies.Wouldn't recommend to anyone! Even the bachelor students I've spoken with are unhappy here. I've also heard of people submitting applications to do a PHD with Torrens and just never hearing back.
